New Era Club House: When Baseball Enters Lifestyle

On Thursday, September 17, 2026, New Era brought the spirit of baseball to Milan, transforming the historic Canottieri Milano into the New Era Clubhouse. From 10 AM to 12:30 PM, the venue became the setting for an experience where baseball culture, varsity heritage and streetwear came together around the launch of the new MLB New York Yankees Clubhouse Collection.

Inspired by the clubhouse as a place where sports legends meet, the event moved beyond the traditional collection presentation to create a more relaxed and immersive experience, reflecting the increasingly fluid relationship between sport and fashion.

The atmosphere immediately recalls a summer day. Iced coffee, drinks, biscuits, chocolates and sandwiches, many of them customised with the New Era logo, accompany guests throughout the visit. The setting at Canottieri Milano helps maintain a relaxed atmosphere, away from the more conventional dynamics of a collection presentation.

At the centre, of course, are the New York Yankees. Their instantly recognisable visual identity is transferred from the sporting world to a selection designed for the everyday wardrobe. The iconic logo thus becomes a graphic element to be paired with different garments and accessories, retaining its connection to the team while opening up to a more urban aesthetic.

Headwear remains one of the key elements of the collection. Alongside New Era’s most iconic styles, new proposals make their appearance, such as the beret, introducing a different silhouette into the Yankees universe. The cap, however, remains the starting point, also because of the role it has played in transforming a sports-related accessory into an element that has become firmly embedded in fashion.

The collection extends beyond headwear with T-shirts, sweatshirts, knitwear and bombers, creating a complete wardrobe around the team’s distinctive codes. References to the Yankees remain present, but are incorporated into pieces that can also be interpreted outside the sporting context.

This reflects a now well-established phenomenon: in recent years, fashion has increasingly looked to sport as a source of codes, silhouettes and symbols. Jerseys, caps, logos and uniforms have entered street culture, moving from the stands to the streets and becoming part of the everyday wardrobe. In this sense, the Yankees identity also works as an aesthetic element, recognisable beyond the team itself and its history.

Polaroids and photo sets also help make the Club House more than just a display of the collection. Guests can interact with the pieces, wear them and use the images to create their own interpretation of the collection. Photography thus becomes an integral part of the experience, in keeping with the strong visual component that has always accompanied New Era.

The choice of location is also significant. With its outdoor spaces and distinctly summery atmosphere, Canottieri Milano provides the backdrop for an aesthetic rooted in the United States and reinterpreted within a Milanese setting. The result is a meeting between two different environments, brought together by a more relaxed approach to fashion and leisure.

The Club House therefore becomes a space in which to explore not only the collection, but also the way such a recognisable symbol as the Yankees continues to be reinterpreted. From classic styles to new proposals, the team’s identity remains the common thread, while the garments, occasions and ways of wearing them evolve.
