First of all, thank you for having me. MODELD is an app that aims to bridge the gap between models and brands. It provides a platform for direct interaction, eliminating the need for agencies and their associated fees, payment processes, and restrictions. The idea for MODELD was born out of the challenges I faced in finding models to work with during the pandemic. We offer a safe and inclusive environment, believing that anyone can model regardless of their industry or sector of interest. Brands, companies, and creative agencies can easily hire models directly through our platform, streamlining the entire process. Currently, we have a community of over 800 models from across Europe, and our community continues to grow each day.
Could you share the distinctive style of your popular brand?
Well, “popular” is a subjective term, but I appreciate the sentiment. I founded Caps From Heaven (@CAPSFROMHEAVEN) back in 2017 as a personal challenge, and it has gained recognition in various concept stores in Beirut and Paris over time. Our most sought-after design is the ‘MAKE MOMS PROUD AGAIN’ cap.
How does MODELD ensure a secure environment, and how does the ranking system work?
At MODELD, ensuring safety and inclusivity is our top priority. We implement KYC (Know Your Customer) protocols to verify the identity of every user. This involves cross-verifying ID with facial recognition technology and ensuring that brands and companies provide valid registration documents. As for the ranking system, it operates on a mutual rating system where users rate each other after every project, fostering a community based on trust and professionalism.
Do you have any hidden talents yet to be revealed?
While I have various interests and hobbies, photography and design serve as outlets for my creative stimulation. As for a hidden talent, I take pride in my cooking skills, particularly when it comes to Italian cuisine!
Can you share any upcoming projects?
I am currently working on an exciting project called The Artistic Criminals (@THEARTISTICCRIMINALS), a creative agency catering to the unique needs of MODELD’s clients and beyond. We offer services ranging from photoshoots and content creation to consulting and production. With teams of creatives in Paris, London, Amsterdam, Brussels, and Milan, we are dedicated to challenging norms and breaking barriers.
Additionally, there is something significant in the works at MODELD, but for now, it remains a secret. Stay tuned for updates!
Who are your favorite models and designers?
The models I truly admire are those registered on our platform, and I have had the pleasure of working with many of them directly. As for designers, I am eagerly looking forward to seeing what Pharrell brings to Louis Vuitton. In terms of women’s fashion, I am captivated by the new styles from Courrèges.
